Data Package Creator

The Data Package Creator is an online service created by Frictionless Data that lets users generate tabular data packages from their datasets (more on the Tabular Data Package specification).

A Data Package is a simple format that makes it possible to package a collection of tabular data and attach contextual information to it before sharing it. A Data Package contains the dataset, its schema and descriptive metadata associated with the dataset collated in a JSON file.

Please note that this web interface is not suitable for using it with data that contains confidential or personal information! But, the Frictionless Data team and community have developed libraries and continue to actively support users who wish to create and work with Data Packages locally on their computers using different programming languages such as: Javascript, Python, Ruby, R, PHP, Java, Go, Clojure and Julia.

Here below you find several resources that introduce you, demo and guide you on the use of the Data Package Creator.
